I have solar system with 4 solar panels of 235 watts each and 4 x 370 amp/hr L-16 batteries in a remote location. The supplier advised me to store the batteries for the winter ( temps can go below 35 C ) , but a friend with a similiar system doesn’t do anything with his batteries all winter and he never has a problem. I visited my camp in Feb this year and found all 4 batteries frozen. I thawed them out over 1 day in the cabin heated by a wood stove, then trickle charged them to see if they still worked. They do but have a greatly decreased life span of charge. Are they “toast” or is there some remedy I could try. Thanks, DJP
